Aloe Grove Safari Lodge
Aloe Grove Safari Lodge is situated 36kms north-east of Otjiwarongo. The name Aloegrove, originates from the abundant 'Aloe literalis' growing in the area, which belongs to the tree family Aloe. At the end of a hard day's drive or activities, the sparkling pool is the place to go for a well-earned dip, sunbathe or cool drink. Their superb cuisine also caters for vegetarians and vegans, and their excellent dining facilities include an open fireplace, and an outdoor braai area, ideal venues for breakfast and dinner.
Accommodation consists of 6 en-suite bungalows, each with its own balcony. There are 3 rooms with 1 double bed and 1 single bed, and the other 3 rooms have self-catering facilities, with 2 double beds. Each room has its own bathroom, mosquito nets, and a big half-round bath and shower. There is also a fully-equipped kitchen with in-door wood barbecue. A great favorite at Aloe Grove Safari Lodge, is the scheduled lion, leopard and cheetah feeding. Guests can also join the lodge's ranger on a 4x4 morning or afternoon game drive.
Frans Indongo Lodge
At Frans Indongo Lodge you can relax on the sundeck at the swimming pool and watch a succession of Sable Antelope, Black Springbok and Nyala quench their thirst at the nearby water hole.
Observe hundreds of vultures spiraling down from the sky – at the feeding site of the Rare and Endangered Species Trust which works for the protection of Namibia’s last Cape vultures. Or explore Waterberg Plateau Park, where water is plentiful, and visit the OvaHerero cultural centre in Okakarara.
Frans Indongo Lodge is located north-east of Otjiwarongo and north-west of Waterberg Mountain. The lodge offers 2 double rooms, 2 Family units and 8 generously proportioned chalets. All the rooms have their own bathroom, air-conditioner, fridge, hairdryer, telephone, TV and an electric kettle for tea and coffee. The lush green garden is shaded by tall trees and sports an artificial brook. You can have a refreshing dip into the swimming pool, and when the sun starts to set just before dinner you can retreat to the large wooden veranda at the bar or the little observation tower.
Otjibamba Lodge
Otjibamba Lodge is ideally situated south of the town of Otjiwarongo along the B1 which runs from Windhoek to Etosha. Otjibamba Lodge is tastefully designed in an afro-colonial style and furnished to match its natural surroundings. Rooms are laid out as air-conditioned chalets, which offer privacy, space and comfort. With its well kept garden and large swimming pool, Otjibamba is the ideal place to relax for a day or two. Okonjima Lodge
Not only is Okonjima a luxury lodge, but it is also home to The AfriCat Foundation, a non-profit organisation, committed to long-term conservation of Namibia's large carnivores, especially cheetahs and leopards. Okonjima is a Herero name meaning Place of the baboons. The Villa, Bush Suite & Bush Camp also have an inside fireplace and each have a waterhole where wildlife may be viewed.
The Villa and Bush Suite boast ‘ozoneated pools’, where ultra violet light is used to keep the pool clean instead of chemicals or chlorine.
THE VILLA, overlooking a natural waterhole, is situated approximately 10 km from our Main Camp. It has 2 separate, private Suites, together with 2 select, en-suite bedrooms. All bathrooms have both an inside shower and a spectacular, outside bush-shower, together with a beautiful bath-with-a-view. The graceful ‘Main House’ consists of an Up-to-date, chef-designed kitchen with wine and soft drink coolers. The living spaces are punctuated by a spacious lounge and dining area with an open, wood-burning fireplace.
There is a magnificent infinity pool, surrounded on three sides by African, red teak decking and a walkway to an open, shaded ‘Sala’ - for some serious birding and afternoon napping - incorporating a roof fan to stir the gentle breeze that crosses the adjoining waterhole. The Villa offers 2 separate, exquisite, thatched Suites situated approximately 35m – 50m on either side of ‘The Main House’ .Fittingly, 3 of the 4 bedrooms have magnificent, wheeled, king size beds, for rolling out onto the terraces to sleep under the stars.
The Bush Suite, overlooking a waterhole, is situated approximately 3,5km from Main Camp and 500m from Bush Camp. It has 2 separate, private, en-suite bedrooms plus a modern, chef-designed kitchenette, with wine and soft drink coolers. The living space boasts a spacious lounge, a dining area under-roof or outside under natural shade and an open, wood-burning fireplace as well as a uniquely designed pool (13 metres in length). One of the queensize beds can be wheeled outside onto the terraces, for a night under the stars! Each bathroom has both an inside shower and a spectacular, outside bush-shower, together with a beautiful, colonial, bath-with-a-view.
The Luxury Bush Camp is Situated at the Edge of a Wilderness Area, 3km from Plains Camp. Bush Camp comprises of 8 thatched, African-style chalets, 3 luxury, en-suite tents and a Lapa in the form of the indigenous ‘camelthorn’ pod and a secluded swimming pool. The extensive ‘camelthorn’ shaped Lapa, encompasses the reception area and curio-shop, a cozy lounge with a rustic, inside fire-place, an outside fire-place, a kitchen and dining area – all overlooking a waterhole.
Plains Camp: The Barn/ Entertainment area - 'The Lapa', meaning 'Gathering Place', - includes, the dining and lounge area, the pool and the curio-shop; and is family & wheel-chair friendly! The lodge consists of 3 different styles of accommodation:
6 budget, double Garden Rooms situated within the lush, original homestead garden and overlook a Lapa, each comprise of en-suite bathrooms, a double and a single bed, a roof-fan and a safe

Activities:
AFRICAT became internationally renowned after featuring in an award-winning documentary filmed for the Discovery Channel in 1995 &1996. Today The AfriCat Foundatiuon is the ‘World’s Largest Cheetah and Leopard Rescue and Release Programme’ and has saved more than 850 cats since 1993.
LEOPARD VIEWING: Leopards are frequently seen, giving you an opportunity to observe these magnificent predators from a hide, or ‘radio-tracked’ from our game-viewing vehicles. The leopards roam freely and catch their own prey within the 4500 ha rehabilitation area. These cats however, are notoriously people-shy and sightings are not guaranteed.
BUSHMAN TRAIL: Experience a day in the life of a Bushman. It constitutes an easy walking trail and is highly informative. You get to learn about the art of making traditional artefacts and how the San adapt and survive in an unforgiving wilderness environment.
NATURE TRAIL: Self-guided walking trails of up to 8 km, for those of you who want to spend some time alone in the solitude of the Okonjima wilderness.
BIRD WATCHING: Identify some of the more than 250+ species in the area, including some of the Namibian endemics – Carp’s Black Tit, Hartlaub’s Francolin and the Damara Rock Runner.
NOCTURNAL ANIMALS: Main Camp & Bush Camp guests only! At the nocturnal hide you may view after-dinner 'Nightlife' such as porcupine, honey-badgers and caracal, amongst others.
Waterberg Guestfarm
Waterberg Guest farm, a substantial part of the famous Waterberg is situated on the ranch with accommodation facilities built on the slope of the Small Waterberg. True to their slogan ‘A Fine Taste of Africa’, Waterberg Guest Farm is a small guest farm on a huge 50 thousand hectare game and cattle farm offering a distinguished ambience and hospitality to perfection. Animals can be viewed by sitting in one of the many elevated hides located at various waterholes around the ranch. Alternatively, take a seat on our wooden deck at the pool, which looks onto a waterhole 80 meters into the bush. Different species of animals visit this waterhole throughout the day. Waterberg Guest Farm offers four comfortably furnished rooms and two bush bungalows, all with their own bathrooms. A lounge with a fireplace and selection of books await each guest for the cold winter nights. Supper is served either in the thatched roof “lapa” under the starry skies of Africa or in the dining room with an exquisite view onto the (Big) Waterberg. Only home cooked meals are served, prepared from own organic farm produce. In the afternoon guests are treated with coffee and tea. Activities and excursions are discussed in the evening. Afterwards you may want to join a guide on a drive over the ranch, combined with a sundowner at one of our dams or water holes.
Waterberg Plateau Park
Waterberg Plateau Park is a national park in central Namibia encompassing the Waterberg Plateau, 68 km east of the town of Otjiwarongo. The plateau and some 405 km² of surrounding land were declared a Nature Reserve in 1972 and is largely inaccessible so in the early 1970s several of Namibia's endangered species were translocated there to protect them from predators and poaching to extinction. The programme was very successful and Waterberg now supplies other Namibian parks with rare species. In 1989, Black Rhino were reintroduced to the area from Damaraland. The Waterberg Plateau Park was refurbished shortly and now boasts 2 Family Chalets, 8 Premier Bush Chalets and 23 Bush Chalets as well as 34 Double Rooms all newly furnished with a relaxing atmosphere. Morning and afternoon game drives onto the plateau are offered on an optional basis. Hiking trails through a splendor of vegetation can keep you occupied for days.
Waterberg Wilderness Lodge
The rugged massif of Waterberg towers majestically over a vast, sunlit meadow at the end of an elongated valley. This is the site of Waterberg Wilderness Lodge, with red sandstone chalets scattered idyllically in a very old garden. The open pavilion next to the bricked-in basin of spring water where giant bamboo casts its cooling shade is a place to linger. Waterberg Wilderness Lodge consists of nine spacious rooms, including two family units. Each of them has its private shower/WC, lounge area and roofed veranda or terrace. Before you set off on your afternoon activities everyone gets together in the tea garden for a cup and some cake. Bookworms can retire to our small library where a fire will be lit on chilly days. There are also two spring water swimming pools with sunbathing lawn and pavilion at your disposal. After sunset guests meet at the campfire or at the fireplace in the bar to settle down for the evening. Fresh dishes, typical for the country, are served by our farm cuisine for dinner. For activities at Waterberg Wilderness Lodge you can optionally choose from morning plateau hikes, game watching on foot, nature drives as well as a cultural tour into Hereroland.
Waterberg Plateau Lodge
Nestled on a rock terrace high up on the slope of Waterberg, the chalets of Waterberg Plateau Lodge afford grand vistas of the endless Kalahari bush savannah below. Each of the double room chalets sits between red sandstone rocks in the midst of green bush, with total privacy guaranteed. Acacias shade the terrace; a plunge pool filled with spring water provides cooling and attracts birds and small game. All 7 double-room chalets are equipped with shower/WC, private terrace with plunge pool, 220 V electricity (solar), suitable for hairdryers, shavers and battery chargers and a hot water supply all day long so that you can make tea or coffee at any time The lodge boasts a lounge area and fireplace for chilly winter evenings, dining room with fireplace for afternoon tea and dinner and laundry service (minimum stay two nights) and car cleaning (wash and vacuum)
In the afternoon guests are welcome to have a piece of cake in the dining room, and afterwards join our guide on a scenic drive, if they wish. After sunset the fireplace in the rustic dining room is the meeting place to enjoy a drink. Fresh dishes from the typically Namibian farmhouse kitchen are served for dinner.
WABI Game Lodge
In the wild beauty of the Waterberg Plateau lies the ultimate place for individual travellers, who seek peace and inspiration - WABI. This privately owned Game Reserve, free of Malaria, is nestled at the edge of a dry Riverbed, in which century-old by law protected Camelthorn trees grow.
The park surrounding the Lodge is a verdant delight - one of the most beautiful gardens in the middle of nowhere. Above carefully attended lawns the acacias are filled with the sounds of Hornbills, Touracos, Babblers and Glossing Starling, while blue Plumbago, Fuchsia, Hibiscus, Laurel Roses and other colorful flowers grow abundantly. In fact, a variety of over 230 bird species can be observed.
Nocturnal wildlife such as Porcupine, Springhare, Genet Cat and Bush Babies live within this garden and during the day you can observe Nyala antelopes sneaking through the bush thickets along the river bed still within the Wabi garden. A Bougainvillea-laden arbour leads to the well-equipped air-conditioned Bungalows. It is difficult, indeed, to tear yourself away from the pool, which overlooks one of the waterholes, but then, why should you? After all, you are on holiday. The Lodge is surrounded by cascading foliage and luscious trees that will provide a heaven for you to retreat to after the day's activities. Whilst you relax at the pool, be mesmerized by the landscape that appears to extend into infinity and change into a fiery pageant as the sun bids the day farewell.
