About Us ... in Namibia

Namibia-born Unique Tours owner, Ms Heike Elmering, became curious about the big wide world and eventually got stuck in Europe for 22 years. Those years of living amongst different cultures taught Heike next to many other things what foreign travellers expect from a tour facilitator when planning to visit her home country, Namibia, and while on the road.

Equipped with this knowledge Heike returned to Namibia for good and founded Unique Tours & Safaris, in Nov 2008.
From the company's base in Swakopmund, Heike pursues her vision: To turn her customers into fans and repeat visitors of Namibia and its neighbouring countries such as Botswana and South Africa, through the experience of dream holidays - holiday travels that leave nothing to be desired in respect of service quality, attention to detail, honouring the individual's preferences, special interests and expectations,  and pulling it all together into one big "Wow" factor, every time.

Being herself eternally in love with the splendours of her home country, Heike decided to only offer safaris tailored to the specific needs and wishes of each individual customer, be it a single traveller, a couple, a family with children or a group. Safari routings might overlap at times as far as sightseeing options of general interest are concerned but apart from that, every Unique Tours itinerary is as unique as the individuality of the customer who chose us as tour facilitator.
