Annie's Cottage
Serene ambience in a lovingly restored home situated at the foot of the "koppie" where South Africa's first commercial copper mine was founded. During August to October, when the Namaqualand flowers go into bloom, nothing compares to the beauty of this area - and Annie's Cottage offers one of the best places to stay with just a bit of magic and information readily available.
Eleven luxury en-suite rooms offer comfort and a feeling of "coming home" for the weary traveller. Enjoy an afternoon in the oasis-like garden filled with fantasy and small private spaces in the shade of established Jacaranda trees, laze on the veranda with a book and watching birds having a bath in one of the fountains, or spend fun-filled hours with the children by the swimming pool, with something refreshing to drink always at hand.
All rooms have private entrances onto the veranda, into the garden or their own private patio. Every room is decorated in a unique style to give it its own personal touch, with Percale cotton bedding and feather down duvets and pillows ensuring that you can sleep in luxury. All rooms are en-suite with either bath or shower or both, offering crisp white towels and matching his/hers robes and hair dryers. Each room is equipped with internet connection, television with selected DSTV channels & M-Net, a fully stocked bar-fridge as well as tea & coffee facilities.
A friendly staff team at Annie's Cottage rounds off the picture of this cosy place.

  Lodging
- Naries Area/ Namaqualand -

Use this lodge also as base for 4x4 self-drive excursions into the Richtersveld Transfrontier Park situated about 1 hour drive away, and to the West Coast.

Naries Namakwa Retreat
Naries Namakwa Retreat, a beautiful and romantic hideaway in the heart of the Namakwa region, offers a unique experience with several pleasant surprises all year round!
Hike or cycle the rugged mountainous terrain, set against some of the most spectacular scenery the Namakwa region has to offer. If photography is your passion, turn the unsurpassed colours, views and textures of our region into lifelong impressions. The tarred road linking Naries to Springbok provides quick access for exploring the greater Namakwa Region, ranging from the magnificent Richtersveld in the north to the (working!) diamond mines and shipwrecks in the west. During the famous Namaqua flower season, Naries provides the perfect venue, right where the floral action is - ensure to book well in advance!
The 3 "Namakwa Mountain Suites" are domed cottages designed to echo the ambience of the Namakwa veld and the dwellings of the indigenous people of the area. They combine elegance with simplicity in a most unusual way and are located on the very edge of the Spektakelberg Escarpment that overlooks the barren coastal plains below - setting the stage for some of the most spectacular sundowner experiences offered anywhere.
The Old Cape Dutch Manor House offers 5 stylish en-suite rooms as well as an exquisite dining room, a swimming pool and a large veranda.
Naries Namakwa Retreat also has got a self-catering facility, ideal for families.
The warm-hearted hospitality, delicious meals, variety of comfortable accommodation and friendly staff will ensure that you thoroughly enjoy your stay, leaving you with the desire to return again!

- Okiep / Namaqualand -

Okiep Country Hotel
The little village of Okiep or O’okiep got its name from the Nama word “U-gieb”. There are various meanings to this word, namely: the great brackish spring, the place of the big tree and the little fountain.
O’okiep is situated on the two main highways through Namaqualand, 8 km north of Springbok, 120 km south of the Namibian border, and 560 km from Cape Town. O’okiep is the oldest mining town in South Africa where copper was first mined in 1855. During springtime, Okiep is - like the whole of Namaqualand - very rich in blossoming wild flowers.
The 3-star Okiep Country Hotel is the tourist centre of the village and houses a very popular restaurant and bar. Malcolm and his friendly staff offer traditional country hospitality in a modern and elegant setting.
Guided tours of the surrounding areas are available on request.
